Nicaraven-Loaded Alginate Hydrogels Augment Bone Tissue Repair by Enhancing the Expression Level of Type Collagen Type II and TGF-ii Genes; An In Vitro an In Vivo Evaluation
In this research, a composite delivery system was developed by incorporating nicaraven-loaded chitosan nanoparticles into the matrix of alginate-based hydrogels. In vitro studies including scanning electron microscopy, cell viability assay, cytoprotection assay, cell migration assay, swelling assay, and drug release assay were performed to characterize the hydrogel system. In vivo study was performed in a rat model of calvarial bone defect.
